#ChristmasInJuly Step 3: Give a present, and hear boisterous stories from the wacky, fun-loving uncle the whole family can’t live without.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIt’s Monday, Hearties! Up and at ‘em, and let’s get started with the day! It’s still Christmas in July, after all!

To help us celebrate, may I present: The Man Behind the Mugs. No, I’m not referring to a photographer who takes pictures of ugly faces; I’m talking about the one and only Mr. Elliott Wallach, Creator, Owner, and President of Edify Films, the company that delivers all that amazing Hearties swag our way. Not only was he gracious enough to consent to an interview, but he offered to provide the prize for our FIRST GIVEAWAY  CONTEST. Details on that come after you read, though. 😉 So snuggle under your Hearties blanket, grab a When Calls the Heart mug of your favorite beverage, and settle in for a wonderful read! I will tell you honestly, this interview does not do the man justice! Between the awesome story he had for each question, (and me struggling to write it all down!), and how hard I was laughing, I can’t catch half of the effect our conversation had. He really embodied the fun, story-telling uncle to a T. But I’ll do my darndest!

HH: Where are you from? Are you still living there?
*I live in Washington State, the Spokane area since 1991. Prior to that I was in the military right out of high school. I was a Russian linguist for the Army. (This is when I interjected in surprise, “You speak Russian?” and he took off in Russian on me. 🙂 I said, “Not me. My husband speaks Russian.” When I asked what he said, he said something to the effect of “I used to speak Russian badly, but I’ve been practicing and now I speak it very badly.”

HH: Tell us about your family.
*I’ve been married 21 years to my wife, Tiffany. We met at church, in the singles’ group. (That’s how I met MY husband, so that was fun!) The first time I saw her in the singles group, I thought, “Move fast, Elliott. Don’t panic! Remember, this is what you trained for!”
*I have 2 sons. I’m a soccer dad; I coach one of them on his team.

HH: What’s your ideal vacation?
*Oh, wow! Random! My ideal vacation would be warm, by the ocean, maybe a cruise. I don’t like having every minute of every day planned. So take a planner, the kind of person that schedules every second, and multiply that person by -1, and you’ll have me on vacation. I like to play it minute by minute, and right now I like the idea of reading and hearing the ocean, and every once in a while someone brings me a hamburger.

HH: That brings me to my next question. What’s your favorite food? Is it a hamburger?
*No, steak. I like a good steak

HH: And where’s your favorite place to find that good steak?
*There’s a restaurant here in Spokane called Mizunas. It used to be a vegetarian place, but then they expanded into meat… I don’t know what it is about vegetarians, but they just know how to make a good steak! I guess from all the practice making soy not taste like a DVD case.

HH: I’m going to go out on a limb, and assume that you consider yourself a Heartie.
*Yes, I am!

HH: So why do YOU love the show?
*The #Hearties, 100%! You guys are the egg and the nourishment of the show. The group is something amazing that no one has ever seen before, and probably none of the actors on “When Calls the Heart” will ever have a fan base like this again. You guys can impact culture with your influence and that can’t be underestimated.
*#Hearties match the passion I have for family-friendly and faith-friendly films.
*Aside from that, I just love the Hearties themselves. The people. If you ever go to a Hearties Family Reunion, it’s like going to a love spa! Everyone is so kind and caring and just sweet! You’ll never get more hugs and high fives.
*The best thing is that all the Hearties are this massive support group for each other, and most times they don’t know anything about each other beyond the font they use. (This is when I told him I met one of my best friends on the fan page. He laughed, and said, “See? Let me guess… Times New Roman? Or Arial? Calibri is nice too.”)

HH: Do you have a favorite season or episode?
*I really liked Season 6, the most recent one.

HH: Dare I ask if you have a favorite character or actor on the show?
*I do, and we’ll leave it at that. 🙂 (Then he proceeded to say something wonderful about almost every main actor. He only stopped because we were running short on time.)

*Martin Cummins: I love every single actor on the show! I really enjoy my time with Martin. That guy’s absolutely hilarious! One of the things we ask people is who you’d want to be trapped in an elevator with. My answer might be Martin Cummins except I’m not sure my abs would survive it! One of the most real people I’ve ever met. He doesn’t have one pretentious cell in his body. Speaking of which, something not many people know about him is he’s incredibly fit! That guy is absolutely ripped! Think of the most pretentious person you’ve ever met, and take out all the pretentiousness, and replace it with biceps. – Martin Cummins.

*Kavan Smith: He is a world-class, amazing storyteller. It’s a gift that can’t be fully appreciated even with the videos we make of him. He’s a rare, rare person. I could listen to him all day.

*Pascale Hutton: Is equally rare. How in the world did they “accidentally” land her and Kavan together?!! I’m not sure the show shouldn’t be what they say when the camera’s not rolling. Just in the short time I’ve been around them, they just start teasing each other and the rest of us just fade in the background. It’s something to see. She’s so funny and brilliant enough to keep up with Kavan. (Watch the Heartie’s Family Reunions some time. My gosh.) And she’s so genuine and real too. One of my favorite people that we interview, because her charm and authenticity is just palpable. It always, always, always ends up great. Love it.

*Jack Wagner: He’s such a Pro. It’s ridiculous. You ask him a question and you can see the wheels turning in his mind, then he comes out with these beautifully crafted answers that are always solid gold sound bites. He’s really funny too! But ridiculously, ridiculously talented, bordering on the unfair to normal people like me. It’s like being good at chin-ups and then you meet Spider Man.

*Paul Greene: So cool, so friendly, and so deep. A total philosopher. He should live on a mountain with a long beard where people hike 10,000 feet just to hear what he has to say. Or he could sing the words of wisdom too. Another ridiculously talented guy. We carry his CD at Edify Films, and I don’t know if I’ve ever worked with anyone more grateful and generous with their praise. Think of the meanest person you’ve ever met and replace it with kindness and biceps also- Paul Greene.

*Loretta Walsh: Put her at any barbecue in the United States, and there will be 4 people around her laughing. Super generous like so many of the cast. She’s amusing and amused at the same time which is like my favorite flavor of human. Plus it’s also elevated by this awesome Australian accent which is always so bazaar and unexpected when you follow the show.

*Andrea Brooks: Man. I love Andrea. I absolutely adore her. She just could not be any more warm and engaging and genuine and joyful. One of those people that never met a stranger. Her husband is the same way. They are the power couple of easy to be around. Mr. and Mrs. genuinely cool people. I want to hang out with them. They need to raffle that off for charity.

*Ben Rosenbaum: HE IS HILARIOUS! He’s also on my elevator list. He’s one of those guys that can effortlessly kill a room with just some side comment he barely meant to say. He’s another ab workout. If you haven’t seen his Hope Valley Highlights you’re missing out. They’re some of my favorites.

*Aren Buchholz: I don’t think I even want to know anybody that doesn’t like Aren Buchholz. He’s such a cool guy. He’s like everybody I would have ever wanted to hang out with in my youth. Totally self deprecating. Totally funny. Very easy. I’ve done interviews with him before and after we’re done, he’ll just hang out for 30 minutes just trying to get to know us. Clone him.

*Eva Bourne: Eva is like Aren. Just grounded, cool, super fun to be around. She’s got this really unique sense of humor. I’m not sure how to describe it. Watch the Hope Valley Highlight where she talks about her cat. At the time, I just remember thinking that she reminded me of every cool girl I remember in High School. You just come away wishing she was your kid sister or dating your kid brother so you could pretend she was your kid sister.

*Erin Krakow: She’s absolutely the real deal! She’s so genuine, so professional, so generous. One time, she had just finished filming the scene in Season 5 when she’s screaming “Jack!” like a million times. She had no voice left, but she kept running in between takes to interview with us. I love her more than she knows. I wish she wasn’t famous and lived in our town. She’d be one of those friends you’re always trying to get to come over for Thanksgiving.

HH: If you could pick a storyline for the show, what would it be?
*Well, for the sake of my sons the easy answer is someone gets bitten by a radioactive spider. Having said that, I love the idea of a bad guy defending the good, but still by being kind of bad. Basically, I’m a fan of Henry Gowen. I’d like to see him out villain a villain, in defense of Hope Valley. If it goes to fisticuffs, and Henry is allowed to channel his inner Martin Cummings, then the bad guy is going to need to spend some significant time recovering with Dr. Shepherd before he appears before Bill Avery.

HH: If YOU were a guest star on WCTH, who would you be?
*If Chandler from “Friends” is written to appear on When Calls the Heart, then I think we found my character!

HH: How did you FIND When Calls the Heart?
*I’ve been friends with Michael Landon Jr. and Brian Bird for a long time. I knew about the show before most people did.

HH: Did Edify Films come about as a result of WCTH, or did the company come first?
*I created the company first. I named it Edify because that means to spiritually build up – and that’s my whole outlook on entertainment. And I want everyone to feel uplifted. When Calls the Heart is nothing if not uplifting.

HH: What’s your favorite and most challenging part of running the company?
*Favorite: I’m in love with the effect of what I do. I like affecting people, putting a dent in the universe, leaving a mark. Someone can watch movies and television and lose themselves. They can feel inspired to be kinder, to do better, to be inspired to pursue things they would otherwise deem impossible. What’s cooler than that?

*Challenging: Like most people, trying to do it all, balancing my family life with work.

HH: What’s your process for deciding what ideas should become products?
*I try to make something that is good quality, and the majority of the Hearties would want, and still be able to afford. I’m naturally a pleaser and it’s always a challenge to hold myself back and not end up with a warehouse full of When Calls the Heart Roller Blades.

HH: Are there any big products, projects, or reveals coming up that we should watch out for?
*Well, the Season 6 Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order (WhenCallsTheHeart.com). We have some other stuff we’re working on but I have to keep it off the record, but some of them are mind blowing! No one’s going to see these coming! (He shared 1 or 2 with me. I’m sworn to secrecy, but I can attest to the fact that he is totally right!)

HH: Lastly, how did Edify Films come to be?
*This could be a whole other interview, but I’ll summarize. Edify Films was initially Edify Media. Edify Media began in 2004 as a full service public relations and advertising agency with the purpose to promote and elevate films that would “Edify” (spiritually lift up) the world. I’ve personally worked doing publicity and promotion on everything from The Passion of the Christ to Thomas the Train to The Help. Eventually Edify started expanding more into production; movie trailers, behind the scenes elements, DVD authoring, etc. It was only natural that we move into distribution as well. That initiative gave birth to Edify Films. Our goal now is to promote, elevate, distribute and eventually create our own content to spiritually lift up the world. God willing that will be a future interview soon.

Have SO much fun with this, and good luck to you all! This is Hooked Heartie, signing off! May your heart let your hope blossom!

Wow! I thought October was hopping with birthdays! But June is a pen of bunny rabbits! I was just finishing up Pascale’s week, and POP! Up comes the birthday of one of them who started it all! But since his birthday was also on my anniversary, I decided to give myself a little break, and give him a proper highlight week this week. Since he doesn’t play a character, and he hasn’t been available for an interview, we’ll stick with a #MeetYouMonday and a #WonderWednesday post.

Sometimes I think, because he’s not as involved on social media, this amazing film creator is overlooked a bit. But so many of us love his projects, not to mention we just enjoy the fruits of his inspiration. Plus, I feel geographically connected to this man…he lives in Austin, TX after all! My home! 😀 I have yet to meet him, I must have missed the memo as to where he and Daniel Lissing were meeting for dinner when Dan came for a visit in December. 😉 But I’m still a great admirer from close by!

Who is this Superman of a media maker? You hit the nail on the head if you guessed Michael Landon Jr. (Or if you just looked at the title.) This man has been winning his way into our hearts since 1977 when he guest starred on his dad’s well-known and beloved TV show “Little House on the Prairie”. And even though he moved behind the camera after only six acting jobs, he’s continued to bring us chicken soup for our souls in the form of visual masterpieces!

Michael Jr. was born on June 20, 1964, in Encino, California to Michael Landon and Marjorie Lynn Noe. Here’s something interesting I never knew before: his middle name was originally Graham. Sounds nice, huh? Michael Graham Landon. I don’t know if he uses it anymore, at least not professionally, but it’s fun to know! As you might imagine, he has several siblings and half siblings, (thank you Wikipedia for the full list!) So here they are in no particular order. If you’re reading this out loud, you might want to take a deep breath!

1. Mark Fraser Landon
2. Josh Fraser Landon
3. Christopher Beau Landon
4. Leslie Ann Landon (who played Ms. Plum, the school teacher, later in “Little House”)
5. Shawna Leigh Landon
6. Jennifer Rachel Landon (she’s just a week younger than I am!)
7. Sean Matthew Landon
8. Cheryl Lynn Landon

Quite a mouthful! Quite a family! And to add to that list, there was another young lady in his life that was basically another sister to him: Melissa Gilbert, (Laura Ingalls in “Little House”, his dad’s TV daughter.) Fun fact: Michael took Melissa to her senior prom! If he didn’t, then IMDB lied to me! 😉

I don’t know if any of them joined him on this journey, but apparently, Michael Jr. converted to Christianity at the tender adult age of 18; so about 1982 or so. Then he found even more happiness when he married Sharee Annette Gregory on December 19, 1987. That’s especially heartwarming to me because December 19th is my late father and my mother’s anniversary. The similarities just keep piling up! 😀

Want some entertaining trivia about his lovely bride? How many of you cuddled up with your parents, or your kids, and watched that AMAZING, star-studded, show-stopper of a CBS TV special “Alice in Wonderland” from 1985? We had it recorded on VHS, and I almost wore it out with how many times I watched it. And I was too young to recognize anyone except John Stamos, so my mom had to tell me how they were all famous.

Anyway, Natalie Gregory did the fantastic job of playing Alice. So what, right? Well, Natalie is Sharee’s little sister, and Sharee played her big sister in that TV special! No wonder it looked so natural! How about that?! But the MOST amazing production either Michael or Sharee did was the one they did together: creating a beautiful family together! They have three children. Two daughters, Ashley and Brittany, and one son, Austin. I wonder if that’s a coincidence?

From what I can gather, Michael’s first projects were to honor his father. He produced and directed the 1991 documentary “Michael Landon: Memories with Laughter and Love, then wrote the story for the 1993 TV movie “Bonanza: The Return”, (that was his father’s famous TV role before “Little House”) and finally wrote and directed the 1999 TV movie “Michael Landon, the Father I Knew”. He loves his father so much, doesn’t he?!

Then he found his other passion: faith-inspiring films, rural period pieces, sometimes a combination of the two. And we know he felt particularly drawn to Janette Oke. 😀 But I am not going to go into any further detail tonight. Gotta save SOMETHING for Wednesday! 😀 So good night, sweet Hearties! And happy Belated birthday to you Mr. Michael Landon Jr. This is Hooked Heartie, signing off! May your heart let your hope blossom!

IIIIIIIIIt’s Monday, everyone! Hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend watching Hallmark movies and spotting random WCTH guest stars in said movies. 😀

And now, welcome to the #MeetYouMonday segment of our new and unorthodox birthday week for the beautiful Pascale Hutton! So we can get to know her a little better, I’ve pieced together information from several sights: IMDB.com, Heightline.com, Twitter, Facebook, Hope Valley Highlights from WCTH bonus features, and interviews with both Kurt Manwaring and Ruth Hill.

Pascale was born to two teachers, (her mother being a drama teacher,) on June 14, 1979 in Creston, British Columbia, Canada. Even with her mother’s line of work, acting wasn’t what she wanted to pursue. But she did study theater at the University of Alberta, thinking she’d go that direction. But fate, it would seem, led her to the screen anyway. The first role she got was in a TV movie called Hollywood Wives: The New Generation, starring Farrah Fawcett and Melissa Gilbert. Not a bad way to start! That led to guest roles on several TV shows like Stargate: Atlantis and Smallville, and even a small role in the 2005 film Fantastic Four. My favorite is that she scored a role in the Psych series premiere!

Even before all this happened, Pascale found a different kind of happiness. She married the love of her life, Mr. Danny Dorosh, in 2002. The two even both appeared on the science fiction series The 4400. They decided to settle in Vancouver, and now have two adorable little boys, (from what I can see in pictures on Twitter.) One of their birthdays was May 14, 2015, which means she was pregnant during filming of Season 2.

Funny story about that; Kavan told it at the most recent HFR (Hearties Family Reunion). I saw a video, but can’t remember who posted it. Remember the vintage motorcycle Lee very smoothly rode into town? He described it as a “bicycle with an engine the size of a sewing basket”. But even with a prop as weak as that, the crew was going to take no chances with the wellbeing of a pregnant woman, and the motorcycle was pulled out of frame by a measly little rope.

Speaking of Rosemary and Lee, did I get some fun tidbits! First of all, there was no chemistry reads or trials. Many times, when a screen or stage couple is in the making, there is a test to see if two look and feel compatible, usually acting out a scene from the script. But no such procedure happened in this case, and Pascale calls their compatibility a “serendipitous pairing”. She even went as far as to say that she has “better chemistry with Kavan as an actor than anyone else I’ve ever worked with, on camera and off camera”. They have the same sense of humor, and both she and Kavan “find our own personal selves highly amusing”. Their families even have barbecues and get togethers quite often. Can you imagine the laughter the neighbors overhear during such occasions? And to make matters even better, Ruth Hill has received confirmation from both Kavan and Pascale that they have a new Hallmark project in the works, just starting the beginning stages. EXCITING!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know one of my favorite questions is “What is your favorite episode/season/moment?” I’m really into favorites! Well, I was able to find out what Pascale’s favorite Rosemary moment was…in Season 6, at least. I definitely have to agree. When I watched this scene, I laughed my head off! The things Rosemary will say to try to get away with things! Here are Pascale’s own words about that favorite moment from Twitter:

Trying to convince Lee that phone ringing was actually ringing in his ears! I had a hay day teasing @KavanjSmith about his age during that scene! #Hearties #WCTH #oldmansmith

Even though these next moments aren’t necessarily her favorite, they are definitely worth mentioning. Like any committed actress, Pascale likes to perform her own stunts. She has, however, developed a bit of a reputation for said stunts taking an endless amount of takes. By her own admission, both the bouquet toss in Season 3, and catching the runaway balloon in Season 6 took FOREVER to capture the moment correctly. Now it’s Erin and Kavan’s turn to tease, and they take full advantage! They love giving her a hard time about how long these things take her. Good thing she can take a joke as well as she can dish one out!

It really is amazing how far Rosemary has come, and how much we love her now. I admit to being very different from Ruth Hill: she claims she loved Rosemary from the very beginning. I was the one who said, “Who does that woman think she is?! Get her out of here!” And to my surprise and glee, I found out a little secret Pascale let “slip”. Here’s what she said: “This was supposed to be just a two episode arc. I think we all quickly realized a character, like Rosemary, that got the (#Hearties) so fired up needed to stick around.” And aren’t we glad she did! Otherwise we wouldn’t have Baby Jack’s “favorite auntie”.

Have a lovely evening #Hearties. See you Wednesday for the final post of Pascale Hutton’s birthday spotlight week. This is Hooked Heartie, signing off! May your heart let your hope blossom!

Happy Monday! How’s everybody’s week going so far? Well, it’s barely started, so I hope it’s been a good time so far. Well, hopefully this will be something good for you to add a log onto the fire; or if it’s been a rough start, maybe THIS will be a good start. 😉

As it is Monday, and we don’t quite have new episode material to muse about yet, I had a wonderful volunteer who agreed to be interviewed for a #MeetYouMonday. It’s always fun to get to know each other. And this lovely lady would be chasing after those gun runners right alongside Jack and Bill. You’ll see what I mean in a moment. Meet Tiffanie Malloy!

1. Where are you from? If you’re living elsewhere, where are you living now?
– I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. And now I live in Clarksville, MO.

2. Tell us about your family.
– I have two wonderful parents who have been married 35 years. My mom is a human resources director, and my dad is a truck driver. I also have two brothers. My brother Kenna is in school, and my brother Adam lives in Chico, CA. And I have 2 children: my son is 9, and I have a 5-month-old daughter.

3. What do you do for a living?
– I’m a correction officer at a women’s prison. I’m on CERT (Correction Emergency Response Team). It’s like SWAT.
*At this point, I told her, “You must be one tough lady!” She responded with this:
– I’m tough when I have to be, in my job; but I’m nice, to a certain point. 🙂
*Of course she is! She watches WCTH!

4. How did you find / discover WCTH?
– I found out about WCTH from an ad. I have been watching the show since 2014 when it first aired.
*THAT made me super jealous! Then she added:
– I’m a devoted Heartie. I’ve devoted five years to my absolute favorite show WCTH.

5. What is your favorite episode? Season?
– All the seasons and all the episodes are my favorite. But my heart WAS broken on season 5 that Jack had to die. I cried my eyes out!
*I agreed wholeheartedly! Then I asked if she could narrow it down a bit. She complied very sweetly to me:
– Yes the wedding was my favorite, and so was the engagement episode.

6. Who is your favorite character? Star of the show?
– Daniel Lissing is favorite actor. Jack Thornton and Elizabeth Thatcher are my two favorites. I love the whole cast, but Elizabeth and Jack are my faves. Abigail was too, and still is.

7. Why are you a Heartie? Why do you love the show?
– The reason I am a Heartie is because I love When Calls the Heart and Hallmark channel. I have been a Heartie since it first aired
– The reason I love the show is it brings so much love and inspiration into my life!

Thanks a bunch, Tiffanie! You were a fabulous person to get to know. And I’m glad it was fun for you, (I promise she told me that!) because I had a blast! And to all the rest of you, I hope you feel the Heartie love today! I’ll see you on Friday for…oops! I almost gave it away! 😀

Hey, Hearties! How’s your Monday going? I know we’re all still a little forlorn with the absence of the show, but I’m determined to do my part to make the hiatus as painless as possible. I have some help from several people, and couple tricks up my sleeve. One of those tricks is bringing back an old idea that I haven’t had the chance to do in a while. And that is #MeetYouMonday. I had so much fun meeting and learning about so many #Hearties from so many places. The interesting thing is there were so many from so many different walks of life, but so many answers sounded almost identical when it came down to questions like “Why are you a Heartie?” and “Why do you love the show?”

So here is another darling Heartie who jumped to volunteer when I asked if she’d like to help with the blog. I know you’ll find her as dear as I did. Presenting the lovely Lili Yogini!

1. Where are you from? If you’re living elsewhere, where are you living now?

I was born and raised in the beautiful beach community of Huntington Beach, California. Nine years ago we moved to get out of “the rat race” of Southern California, to the small town of Lebanon, Oregon. This town is the sort of place we see in the Hallmark Christmas movies, and I love it!

2. Tell us about your family.

My husband, Joe, is the Supervising Electrician for an international hi-tech manufacturing company, he travels abroad a lot so I have lots of opportunity to miss him! We each came into our 17 year marriage with a child. My Marley is 23, he works as an English as a Second Language teacher with mostly Arab adults from Saudi Arabia and Turkey. My step-daughter Amanda, is 21 and a student at Cal State Long Beach in California. She is studying to be an elementary teacher, like Elizabeth! I have two most beloved puppies, they are half toy poodle and half dachshunds, so they have long curly bodies and only weigh 4 pounds, my cat Bella will be upset if I don’t mention her too! The three fur-babies watch WCTH with me every Sunday!

3. What do you do for a living?

I teach Pilates and Yoga at our local hospital and at the community college! It’s a fantastic way to bring in some spending money while helping people heal and grow. When the kids were younger, I was a stay at home mom and homeschooled them both. What are your hobbies? I love working in my gardening growing food and flowers, exercise, reading period romance, and I volunteer at the food pantry. What are you studying/did you study in school? I studied business in College 25 years ago, and have owned two successful businesses with my husband, but I am back in school to become a Christian women’s marriage counselor! I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes me with that!

4. How did you find/discover WCTH?

I don’t watch any television except for Hallmark, their the only brand I trust to deliver viewing that won’t offend my spirit! I enjoy all of their original series, so when WCTH was being advertised, it was a no-brainer to tune in! There was added appeal in that it’s a period romance show….my favorite!

5. What is your favorite episode?

Oh goodness! That is a very difficult question! I’m going to have to go with the obvious, Jack & Elizabeth’s wedding! The excitement, the fire, the community rallying together, and of course, the wedding itself. So beautiful! Season? I’m going to have to say Season 2. Nothing more beautiful than watching people fall in love, especially when those two people are Jack and Elizabeth! I really enjoyed the character development in that season, and introduction of new characters.

6. Who is your favorite character?
Am I allowed to still say Jack? He was the man we all dreamt about when we were little girls, right? But, since he’s gone, I’m going to say Rosemary. She’s so much fun to watch, and I’m really enjoying her softer, more heartfelt, side being exposed as the story unfolds. Plus, she’s pretty relatable to me, with her silly antics and need for her husband to put her in her place sometimes 😉 Star of the show? Okay, here’s the truth….I have a bit of a huge crush on Paul Greene! I saw him on Home & Family a couple years ago, he sang a very sweet song he wrote about a good friend of his. Ever since then, my heart goes a flutter when he’s on screen. It’s okay, my husband understands the crush, he has a man crush on Bill Avery, as he grew up watching Jack Wagner as Frisco Jones in General Hospital 😂

7. Why are you a Heartie? Why do you love the show?
I’m a brand new Heartie! I’ve seen the Hearties, again on Home & Family, and have heard about you in interviews with the cast, but didn’t know who, what, or where you were. I am so excited to have found the group and to be able to talk about the show with someone other than the puppies! Why do I love the show? I love anything to do with romance! I enjoy the costumes and storylines, but I feel like it’s an escape to a simpler time, where most people were in agreement of Christian and family values, and where community truly took care of each other. (The town where I live is a pretty good example of that too). Finally, I rest in knowing that, with this show, I never have to worry about protecting my eyes or ears from the vileness that’s so common on TV now.

8. Anything else you enjoy, or anything you’d like to add?
I was very disheartened when we started seeing less of our Mountie in season 4 & 5, and while I was broken-hearted that Jack passed, I can’t say I was surprised. I figured Daniel was making an exit. At first, I didn’t feel like the show would hold my heart without the Jack & Elizabeth romance. With time, I grew to understand that these writers are not going to let us down! Season 6 is going to be extra special, because they are so keenly aware of the Hearties sensitivities, and now we have baby Jack! I have no expectations for the season, other than to fully enjoy it!

Thank you so MUCH , Lili! I can already tell what a beautiful soul you have! Yes, you can still say Jack. He’s still my favorite! And to the rest of you beautiful souls, have a fantastic day and a good start to your week! This is Hooked Heartie, signing off! May your heart let your hope blossom!
